See & Do

Explore Savannah

Many come to Savannah to experience its art, history, shopping, fine dining and fun drinks, or to escape into the seclusion of nature – and there's no shortage of all of the above immediately around Kehoe House! Located in the heart of Savannah’s North Historic District, visitors to Kehoe House will find themselves in the center of everything.

Here are our favorite activities that guests inquire about the most. If you have questions, please ask – we're here to help make the most of your time in Savannah.

Enjoy the Squares

One of the most enjoyable things to do in Savannah is stroll through the beautiful squares! We recommend starting with Columbia Square right in front of Kehoe House. Then, head to Bull Street. Starting near City Hall, meander an enjoyable 20 minutes toward Forsyth Park. All along the way, you'll experience some of Savannah's prettiest squares amid historic sites, shopping, and opportunities for a drink or a cup of coffee.

Tour the Town

Especially if you're a first-time visitor, we recommend taking a trolley tour to get familiar with Savannah. There are several tours we like, including a hop-on-hop-off tour with more than 15 stops exploring Savannah's most important attractions.

For an experience that’s more personalized, we recommend going on one of the many guided tours catering to your preferred adventure – from historic sites and ghost tours to some of Savannah’s most beautiful vistas. Whatever your interests, we can help you arrange a tour you'll thoroughly enjoy.

From local specialty shops like Shop SCAD, Savannah Bee, E. Shaver Bookseller and Satchel to boutiques like Paris Market & Brocante, Terra Cotta, and Harper Boutique, there's much to see and buy in Savannah. The three main shopping areas in historic Savannah are:

  • Boutique shops along Broughton Street

  • Specialty stores along Liberty Street

  • The Downtown Design District along Whitaker Street

Wine & Dine

While Savannah is known for Southern comfort food favorites and local cuisine, there’s something to satisfy most every craving. When it's time to eat out, our Concierges know all the tried-and-true restaurants and hot new bistros you'll want to try!

After starting your day with Kehoe House’s fabulous breakfast, some of the restaurants we often recommend are: Alligator Soul, Café M, Garibaldi, The Grey, Local 11ten, 45 Bistro, Olde Pink House, Treylor Park and Vic's on the River. Let our Concierge know what you're in the mood for – we’re here to help make suggestions and reservations on your behalf.

Ice Hockey Action

Head to Enmarket Arena

Savannah's new 9,500-seat venue now plays host to music, sports, and entertainment experiences for visitors to enjoy. So whether you plan to see Savannah's new hockey team The Ghost Pirates on the ice, or you have tickets to a special concert, you'll be near the Enmarket Arena when you stay at Kehoe House.
